1) Tell us about yourself?
A- After my 12th I dint exactly know which course I wanted to join.. I checked out subjects of all the semesters of BFM and I found some of them very interesting.. So I decided to join this course.

After my TY, I’m planning to do MBA.

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?
Ans- My Performance makes my Parents happy, that’s what makes me happy.

3) Whom will you credit your success to?
Ans – God has been really kind on me. I have got good support from my parents, some of the best faculties have taught me.. And I have got friends who have helped me throughout the course..

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
Ans- Like always, I started studying a week before the exams.

5) How did you study for Sem V?
Ans- I attended most of the college lectures which helped me to understand the subjects well.. I read the text book thoroughly. And pre-exam revision with my friends..

I think all the 5th sem subjects are easy compared to previous semesters, but you need to study them well because you can’t bluff in subjects like Insurance and Forex..

*Try solving as many sums as possible in the exam.

6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
Ans – Portfolio Management looks easy but its not! 😛

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
Ans – Yes I write answers point wise and I underline heading of every point.

9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
Ans – All the faculties say so.. But during my 5th sem examination time was really a big challenge. I was writing my paper till the last minute.. I doubt if I had drawn any diagrams in this sem..

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
A- I take a subject, complete it and then I move on to other subject. I used to start from 9am and would study till 7pm including number of breaks 😛
And 2 hrs revision with friends after that. That’s what really helped me.

11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
Ans- I don’t usually get distracted.. And I’m fortunate to have friends who keep me happy all the time. And if they are not around, I look for food. 😛

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
A- I’d remove black book. Some topics are repetitive; I’d like to replace them with Mock Trading or similar stuff which is practical in nature.

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
A-
“He who says he can and he who says he can’t, are both usually right.”

Hard work pays off. Have faith. 😉

  14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?

I have learnt a lot! I missed a lot of fun when I was busy attending all the lectures and my friends were hanging out. And today I regret that I dint go out with them, didn’t enjoy college life to the fullest.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that you should bunk all the lectures, I’m just saying that there should be a balance between both. 🙂

15) Your feedback for BFM.co.in?

Great initiative. Finally we are getting some recognition. Thanks to you’ll and your effort. 🙂
